Edelweiss and its owner Monika were both born of Austrian heritage. The daughter of an Austrian ski instructor who moved to the Reno/Tahoe area, Monika was raised on a strict diet of goulash and moguls. Her dream was to share her love of food and skiing with others and thus was Edelweiss Pub born.

We like to call it “Austrian Comfort Food” because who would be better to build the perfect cold-weather menu than Monika’s ancestors living near the Tyrolean Alps? Rich beef goulash with a nuanced paprika gravy, our Pork Schnitzel pounded thin (and breaded even thinner) and our warm Spaetzle noodles will make you a believer.

Chef Colton didn’t invent these dishes. He simply perfected them, working from the original recipes from Monika’s father Hans. We even named a pizza after him.

A day on the slopes creates ein starker Durst – a powerful thirst that we are uniquely qualified to quench with our selection of 14 beers on tap and signature cocktails delivered at our large central bar. A fine pilsner and a side of fries at the bar will get you ready for your next run.
